 Heppner Oregon
"Gateway to the Blues"

50 miles south of the Columbia River, in the rolling hills of Eastern Oregon, lies the friendly community of Heppner, Oregon.
Nearly destroyed by a flood on June 14th 1903, the town prides itself on historic buildings like the County Courthouse, which survived the flood and is still in operation today.
Heppner was founded in 1872 primarily by Irish and Swedish immigrants. Eventually the Irish became the predominant cultural group in the area and many of their descendants still reside here on the same family farms and homes.
Heppner is home to over 6,000 miles of trails to explore on horseback, foot, ATV, snowmobile and skis. The Blue Mountain Century Scenic Bikeway provides a challenging 108 mile loop for bikers of the motorized, electric and good old fashioned leg power variety.
